KEA Sports Day 2007

The Fourth edition of KEA Sports day was held at the Kuwait Amateur Athletic Federation (KAAF) Stadium at Keifan on 30th November 2007. The large gatherig at KAAF stadium was welcomed by the General Convenor, Mr. Jacob George followed by the administration of Oath by the KEA Sports Secretary Mr. Raj Felix. A day of fun filled competitions, interspersed with ample supply of food and refreshments to keep the athelets in healthy spirits was declared open by the KEA President Mr. Kurian Verghese. Participants of all ages, ranging from 3 years to the 50+ veterans, were then seen taking part in the various races, fun games etc. to pull in their weight for the sake of their respective alumnis. After three years of finishing a close second to hosts KEA, TKMCE Alumni Association finally got their hands on the coveted Overall Championship ending up with a whopping 194 points, thanks in large to outstanding teamwork coupled with lion-hearted individual performances. Dark horses, TEC Alumni Association finished a distant second with 139 points with previous winners KEA further back with 80 points. Yet another exciting day of atheletics, highlighting true sportsmanship by all participants came to an end with the Vote of Thanks given by the Sports Day Convenor Mr. Varghese Ninan. The KEA Sports Committee wishes to thank every volunteer of KEA and all the other Alumni Sports Secretaries and Co-ordinators who have worked hard to make the KEA Sports Day IV another sporting success. None of this would have been possible without the never-ending supports of our various sponsors.
